Did you know that the world's leading cashmere producer is China? In fact, 95% of these soft fibers are produced in Inner Mongolia. The animal responsible for the luxurious fabrics is the cashmere goat, also known as the Tibet goat due to its geographical origin. In winter the goats grow fine, soft hair to protect them from the cold, then this undercoat is combed out in spring before being transformed into clothing or accessories.
