Did you know that Kashmir goats are also called Tibet goats because of their geographical origin? In Europe, this goat has been responsible for the luxurious and highly regarded cashmere material since the beginning of the 19th century. To protect themselves from the winter cold, cashmere goats double their summer coat with a down closely covered with long, soft hair. When the sun shines, these hairs are restored and cut in the traditional way with a brush and scissors, then the hair is treated, bleached, dyed, washed and finally woven into a fabric.
These grey socks contain not only cashmere (30%) but also viscose (50%). This synthetic fibre is made of wood cellulose from sustainable forestry (FSC-certified). Also known as "vegetable silk", viscose is breathable, resistant, soft and very comfortable to wear! What luck for your feet!
