Camel hair wool is an ideal material for a winter scarf. More rare than a scarf made of sheep's wool or cashmere, camel wool nevertheless has the same characteristics: thermoregulating, it helps to maintain temperature and evacuate humidity, insulating, it protects from the cold, soft and light, it is very pleasant to wear. In addition, like all wools, it is fairly easy to care for! It is true that you should avoid putting a wool garment in the washing machine, and that's because it doesn't (really) need to: self-cleaning, wool is cleaned by the air. Besides, camel wool contains little lanolin so for those who are sensitive to wool grease, camel hair is the right choice.
This blue camel wool scarf was woven in Biella, the wool capital of Italy. To add a slight colour contrast, it has a burgundy border on each end. It will go perfectly with a beige trench coat or a grey or burgundy wool coat.
Made in Italy in a family-run workshop specialising in scarves, located in Biella, a town with a wool tradition since the 13th century.
Length: 175 cm
Width: 30 cm
100% camel hair wool
Camel hair wool is very easy to care for, as it is partly "self-cleaning" requiring little to no washing. Like merino wool and cashmere, the scales of camel wool open and close with temperature changes. In fact, it is said that wool "breathes". It is therefore sufficient to let it freshen at the air. If washing is unavoidable, it is best to take your scarf to the dry cleaner.
