Silk grenadine is a weaving technique from the 19th century. It requires a careful know-how and very special looms. In fact, these looms are slower than the new industrial looms, which contributes to the rarity of "real" silk grenadine fabrics. Today, there are only a few ateliers that can produce silk grenadine, because in addition to the special weave, every grenadine tie and bow tie also needs a matching interlining. The lining of our Capri range is white, as the fabric is woven from a blend of white and colored yarns in the ratio of 59% linen and 41% silk. This also gives this green silk and linen bow tie its pretty relief.

Note: The fabric of our Capri collection may have slight irregularities, which is not a manufacturing defect, but part of the charm of the traditional weaving technique and the two natural materials.
