The overshirt in mottled wool
Midlayer in winter, jacket in autumn
In fashion, fall is all about sturdy, heat-isolating materials, textured fabrics and warm, natural colors. But fall is also a season when the weather can change in a flash. The best solution for dealing with fall weather? Layering! Wearing multiple bottoms on top of each other turns out to be rather difficult, but tops offer countless opportunities to mix and match different garments by material, cut, color or pattern.
And overshirts are the stars of layering as they can be worn as a midlayer instead of a sweater, as well as a jacket. In regards to thickness, our wool blend shacket falls right in between autumn and winter with 40% wool and a fabric weight of 240 g/m². So it can replace the jacket on a nice autumn day and serve as a midlayer all winter long. As for the color, the mottled, warm tones between beige and blue make for easy combination options.

A mottled wool blend
When we were looking for fabrics for our warm overshirts, it was quite obvious we would reach for wool fabrics, which is the main material of the season because of its temperature regulating properties. The fabric we chose is made of 40% wool, complemented by 6% silk and 53% polyester/acrylic - a beautiful blend of hard-wearing materials and mottled fall colors.

And the one who brought this mottled fabric to our attention is La Torre, one of the largest textile manufacturers in Tuscany since the 1960s.
A 100% cotton lining
Our shacket is fully lined with GOTS certified cotton. This adds extra warmth and ensures nothing itches. So even the most sensitive people can throw on the overshirt without worrying about their comfort.
A comfortably casual cut
And speaking of comfort, our overshirts are generously cut so you can easily throw them over a wool sweater or even a shirt + sweater combination without sacrificing freedom of movement.
Behind our Casual Fall Collection
Since our beginnings in 2008, we have focused on our favorite product: the dress shirt and its accessories. For over ten years, we've been perfecting this more formal line of clothing. But dress codes are changing, leading us to dabble in casual everyday wear. We still enjoy designing beautiful classic, modern or eccentric dress shirts, of course, but seeing long-standing ideas become reality is pretty darn exciting! And now that we've found the right atelier that meets our quality requirements as well as the price-performance ratio, there are (almost) no limits to our creativity.
Made in Tunisia
We found this atelier after long research, visits and prototype tests in northern Tunisia. The audited atelier was founded in 2004 and is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation. Their commitment to sustainable development and the quality of their work make them a strong partner for us.
