The Chinos
The one that goes with everything
Chino pants are a must-have for every man and every age. They are more comfortable than suit pants, but can easily be worn with a dressy look with a shirt, jacket and even formal accessories like a tie.
On the other hand, it is relaxed enough to go with more casual looks: T-shirt, sweater, hoodie - everything fits. And it's no different with shoes: sneakers, moccasins, ankle boots - there is no prescribed pair. That's why chinos are the pants for everyone and every day!
All good things come in threes
It took us three years to develop our first pair of chinos, and now we're already into the third round.
To make a long story short: These chinos are made from the same fabric as our pleated chinos, just without the pleats and in the same slim-fit cut as our lightweight summer chinos.
Basically, thanks to your feedback, we took the best of our first two chinos to create the ideal everyday chinos, balanced just right between casual and smart.
The 3rd version of our chinos:
more casual, but just as carefully made
A comfortable twill made from organic cotton
Fabric is the foundation of comfortable trousers that age well, so we're not changing a thing in that regard with this third version of our chinos.
Woven and dyed* in Spain, the composition of organic cotton, recycled cotton and elastane makes them not only very comfortable to wear, but also kinder to the environment. Because the recycling process uses less water and energy than new cotton plants.
And to ensure that these chinos can be worn all year round, we've gone for an average fabric weight of 270g/m².
A revised semi-slim fit
This third version of the chino is meant to be an everyday piece, so it strikes the perfect balance between casual and smart. That's why we've omitted the pleats, which give the trousers a dressier feel, and the semi-slim fit has been revised to fit true to size.
What hasn't changed is the after-dinner split, also found on our other two chinos, making them so much more comfortable to wear. Especially if you sit a lot in the office or enjoy a sumptuous meal with friends. And that is why the small V-shaped slit on the back of the waistband is called an after-dinner split.
Strong seams and secure pockets
Another thing that hasn't changed? The safety of your personal belongings! You can throw on a pair of chinos without even thinking about it because they are this comfortable and easy to combine. Running a quick errand on the weekend? Chinos, T-shirt, sneakers and off you go. If you don't bring your a backpack, the hidden zipped pocket is very convenient to keep your keys or money safe.
We have also kept the strength and aesthetics of the piped inner seams. Meaning a strip of fabric is sewn overtop to prevent the seams from fraying when washed. This is not only more durable, but also looks much better, especially when you casually roll up the hem.
*What is garment dyeing?
In garment dyeing, the final product is completely immersed in the desired dye. Unlike dyeing yarn or rolls of fabric, the color cannot be 100% controlled in this way and therefore imprints differently on seams, pocket edges or belt loops. The result is a beautiful, slightly vintage patina that will only get more beautiful with time.
