The pleated pants
An alternative to chinos
The choice of elegant trousers can be summarized in just a few models: the suit trousers, of course, the chino pants, which strike a perfect balance with casual wear, and the pleated pants. The latter leans more towards elegance than casual, offering equal or even superior comfort compared to casual pants. This comfort, highly praised for a bottom garment, is owed to the generous pleated cut, which is also what gives it its unabashed elegance. Pleated pants then become the obvious alternative to suits in terms of elegance, with the same stylistic freedom as chinos: you can pair them with a jacket, shirt, sweater, or overshirt, and pleated pants go well with any type of top.
Comfort with a capital C
Pleated pants are inherently comfortable. To enhance this comfort even further, we have designed ours with a semi-elastic waist, located at the back of the waistband. At the front, there is a straight buttoned closure, and inside the waistband, a hidden drawstring that adds to the comfort and simplicity of the design of our pleated pants. Elastic, effective, and extremely comfortable. Plus, its soft and warm wool flannel makes it ideal for winter.
Wool flannel: a warm and plush fabric
Every season has its favorite material, and in winter, wool clearly takes the lead! Despite being a natural fiber, wool is remarkably technical: it's thermoregulating, antibacterial, absorbent, breathable, and these are just a few of its incredible characteristics. To these, we add 45% polyester for durability and lightness, and 2% elastane for comfort and shape retention, complementing the natural wool content of 53%. Together, they create a lovely fabric weighing 240 g/m², which is warm and pleasant to wear. In other words, it's a substantial weight that will keep your legs warm without feeling heavy.
And we found this fabric at Morgado in Portugal. They are a generational weaver with over a century of experience in wool fabrics.
Everything is semi, except for comfort and safety
A semi-elastic waistband
We don't joke around when it comes to the comfort of pants. It's what will make us want to wear them every day, whether at the office or on the weekend. For that, the semi-elastic waistband at the back of the waist plays a key role.
A semi-fitted cut
So, the front pleats and the semi-elastic waistband ensure comfort. The semi-fitted cut, which is slightly wider at the thighs and tapers at the ankles, ensures a flattering and modern silhouette.
A straight buttoned closure.
No frills or thousands of tiny buttons to fiddle with every time you go to the bathroom! The closure is straight (to the point), classic, understated, and efficient, featuring just one single Corozo button.
A hidden drawstring...
...And to adjust the waist precisely to yours, we've added a drawstring inside the waistband.
...just like the pocket
The hidden zip pocket is a feature of all our latest creations that you particularly appreciate. So, we've added one to the right side pocket. And at the back, we've opted for two welt pockets. It's understated and elegant.
