Japanese oxford, a true emblem of the Land of the Rising Sun
Origins and artisanal traditions
Directly inspired by Scottish oxford fabric, Japanese oxford emerged during the Meiji era, between 1868 and 1912. This period, marked by the beginning of Western textile imports to Japan, represented a turning point for its industrial activity. The weavers indeed fell for the charm of the fabric's softness and breathability and decided to rework it in their own way, according to their own codes.
Deeply attached to ancestral manufacturing processes, Japanese textile artisans place great importance on enhancing raw and authentic materials. This philosophy, directly inspired by wabi-sabi, consists of creating minimalist, imperfect, and most importantly, unique garments.

Comfort, practicality and versatility
If we love the Japanese oxford shirt so much, it's because we feel good in it, very good actually. Woven two by two, the warp and weft threads of oxford cotton bring comfort and durability to the garment. Result: your shirt is suitable for both a day at the office and a weekend by the water. 138g/m2 of pure comfort, ideal for mid-season or to wear as an overshirt on summer evenings.
