The Nines x Alex Cormac 2025
When we proposed to Alex last year to work on a few bold pieces that would embody both his strong taste for workwear tailoring and our vision of timeless elegance, the challenge was as great as the enthusiasm generated by this capsule collection, which sold out in just a few days. We naturally agreed to meet again for an even more original and ambitious spring collection.
Make Way for the Three-Piece
The starting point for this ambitious and challenging development is our shared understanding of what couples-to-be expect for their Big Day. At The Nines, we outfit many couples each year with shirts and ties who come to our Parisian boutiques to discuss and compose their outfits. Alex, for his part, has responded to dozens (perhaps even hundreds?) of requests for styling advice on this subject.
Expectations Revealed
Armed with this somewhat relative legitimacy, we worked on the perfect three-piece suit for the big day. And here's what seemed essential to us:
Beautiful proportions with generous lapels on the jacket side and a high waist with beautiful pleats on the trouser side for an impeccable drape.
Structured shoulders for a build that matches the importance of the occasion.
A lightweight fabric with structure: fresh wool seemed essential to us with its thermoregulating qualities and wrinkle resistance
A deep blue fabric color that evolves, catching the light with cobalt glimmers and allowing you to opt for accessories or
A streamlined 6-button vest to avoid overloading the ensemble
Finishes that make the difference, such as the addition of slanted flap pockets, adjustable tabs and even buttons inside the trousers to accommodate possible suspenders.

The OSTARA suit by Alex Cormac
The result? This Ostara three-piece suit proves to be a completely versatile suit, suitable for both special occasions and everyday wear.
The trousers feature a loose fit, high waist, 5 cm cuffs, forward-facing pleats and adjustable tabs for optimal comfort.
The vest is collarless with a martingale to adjust the silhouette and open pockets to carry a pocket watch.
The jacket is inspired by Tom Ford creations, with a structured shoulder, slanted flap pockets, a ticket pocket and massive peak lapels to highlight the build.
For the fabric, we opted for fresh wool from the Italian house Zignone di Biella, a cloth we know well from having already offered it and whose feedback has always been excellent. And by the way, tested and approved by Erwan, co-founder of The Nines, at his wedding in September 2023!
