Combed cotton is cotton that has undergone several processes: carding and then combing. Carding means that the cotton fibres are untangled; that is to say, the cotton is spun. To the touch, the finished product appears natural.

Moreover, some ready-to-wear brands decide to go one step further and comb their cotton. This means that the cotton is then passed through a combing machine which refines the cotton yet again, eliminating the shortest fibres. In other words, only the best fibres remain. The result is a fabric that is softer, more supple, and, most of all, brighter.
