The basket weave tie
The basket weave silk tie: the one for good weather days
Basket weave fabric is the material of choice for the manufacture of ties. Because of its intrinsic qualities, our linen and silk ties fall perfectly. Basket weave is achieved by stacking several threads, both warp (vertical threads) and weft (horizontal threads). This gives it its square braid effect. The micro-pattern created by this weaving method adds a textured effect as well as character to the tie. It’s because of this that we, together with our workshop in Italy, have developed a silk and linen blend that lends itself perfectly to this technique.
Polka dots
Here is a tie that goes well with all collar types, with cutaway collar shirt or even tab collar shirt. These dots have a certain subtlety to them and give the tie a modern and elegant look. It’s perfect for not only any sort of professional occasion, but, thanks to the linen, it also goes well with a more casual outfit. This is the must-have accessory for making your outfit pop. When pairing a basket weave tie with a patterned shirt or vest, be sure that the latter has a different type of pattern. The final result will be more coherent and aesthetically-pleasing.
Cashmere patterns
A touch of whimsy amid subdued elegance, the tie is the way to show off your originality. The cashmere tie is meant for today’s dandy. It goes amazingly well with Oxford shirts and Prince of Wales shirts. When pairing a basket weave silk tie with a patterned shirt or vest, be sure that the latter has a different type of pattern; the final result will be more coherent and aesthetically-pleasing.
Varsity Club stripes
With its origins going back to university clubs and the British aristocracy, the varsity club tie is nowadays an integral part of the urban wardrobe. It has even made its successful transition into business attire. It’s a great way to show off that highly sought-after British flair. When pairing stripes ties with a patterned shirt or vest, be sure that the latter has a different type of pattern. The final result will be more coherent and aesthetically-pleasing.
