How to care for your socks?

Whether we consider socks as underwear, that is as a basic item, or as a fashion accessory, doesn't change the fact that socks are put to the test daily. Friction in shoes, poor hygiene, and various rough surfaces can put socks through a lot. To extend the lifespan of your socks, it's therefore essential to maintain them properly.

Socks in the machine?

Wash your socks in the machine, in cold water (30°C max.). Also remember to use a delicate cycle.  

For spinning, set your machine to spin at 700 rpm. 

Preferably wash your socks in a laundry bag. This will prevent a sock from getting stuck in the washing machine, which could damage it and cause blockages in the machine.

Are the socks dry?

For the good of the environment, your electricity bill, and the lifespan of your clothes, it's preferable to avoid the dryer. The same goes for socks: lay your socks flat on a drying rack to air dry them.

Socks are better when you have both of them...

Regarding storage, there isn't much to say about socks, except that it's preferable for pairs of socks to stay together. Flat, folded, or rolled, the form in which you store your socks in your wardrobe or drawer is up to you.
