The slim bow tie is part of our self-tie bow ties. Also known as the 'batwing' bow tie, with its horizontal shape, it adds a retro touch to your look. Like slim ties, this type of bow tie is less common today. Silk satin is a delicate and elegant weave. Its uniqueness comes from the fact that the crossing points between warp and weft threads are concealed to create a smooth and shiny surface.

For a beautiful harmony, we recommend matching the size of the bow tie with the width of your jacket lapels and your build. Also, as with shirt collars and ties, the size of the bow tie should be chosen according to the shape and size of your face to enhance it. We therefore recommend slim bow ties for those with rather fine facial features.

How to tie and match your slim bow tie

The self-tie bow tie is generally more elegant than a pre-tied bow tie, especially when made of satin. This makes it an ideal accessory for special occasions such as cocktail parties, galas, and of course if you're looking for a wedding bow tie.
