The bottom is made of solid silver, the upper part is made from the bombs unearthed and recycled from Laos. This country was bombed in the 1970's more than Germany and Japan reunited during the second world war.

A portion of the profits will help the MAG (Mines Advisory Group) to clear these devastated areas by bombing, these bombs continue to kill 300 people every years.

Transform horror into beauty.

Between 1964 and 1973 during the Vietnam War, more than 2 million tons of bombs were dropped on the lands of Laos, the most bombed country (per capita) in the history of humanity. Since the 1970s, the artisans and farmers of Laos have been recycling these bombs into spoons by recovering the metal from the shells. Elizabeth and Camille, founders of the brand, are inspired by this unique know-how and decide to transform these bomb remnants into jewelry with the aim of raising funds in collaboration with the NGO MAG (Mines Advisory Group) which finances demining operations.

A positive approach.

The artisans, from one of the provinces most affected by the bombings in Laos, work closely with Article22 to create these unique jewelry pieces. The packaging also has its story. Made from rice paper and cotton pouches, these are made directly in Laos by a women's collective to help a greater number of artisans. In total, Article22 employs more than 40 artisans in Laos.
