It was not easy to find a shirt manufacturer that meets all our requirements. Respect for environment and humankind, quality and production cost are essential factors in the selection of our ateliers. In our search for the ideal shirt maker, we tried our hand at the Made in France, Portugal and Tunisia before moving to Moldova, where we finally found the atelier that ticked all the boxes! Certified ISO 9001 and OEKO-TEX SteP, our manufacturer, located near the Romanian border, is one of the oldest still active shirt manufacturers in Europe, which will soon be able to boast of its centuries-long savoir-faire.

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A QUALITY SHIRT

A quality shirt begins with a quality fabric. This corresponds to the most expensive part of a shirt (if not, run!). We carefully select our fabrics from the best European weavers, such as the Italian, family-run textile manufacturers Albini and Monti or the British Thomas Mason. These exceptional fabrics are the basis for our shirts. But it is the care with which our craftsmen works that ultimately makes the difference, especially when it comes to the finishing touches:

• The French seams, with 7 stitches per centimetre, are finer and ensure greater elegance and durability.
• The hem gussets reinforce the strained side seams.
• The stainless steel collar stays ensure a perfect collar stand.
• The genuine mother-of-pearl buttons in cross-stitch give the shirt authenticity.
• The last horizontal buttonhole avoids unwanted openings.
