S925 Silver, ideal for exceptional cufflinks
In Antiquity, silver was used to mint coins. Today, it is considered one of the most precious materials.
All our solid silver cufflinks are made of 925 silver. This means they are composed of 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper — more precisely electrolytic copper (containing oxygen). This quality is marked by a "S925" hallmark, certifying a first-choice quality, which is ideal because with a higher silver content (e.g. 950 silver), the jewellery tarnishes and deteriorates more quickly.
Rhodium, for superior shine and durability
Furthermore, they are all fully rhodium-plated (coated with a thin layer of rhodium by electrolysis), which makes them shinier and helps them stay that way even longer. Rhodium is a very rare precious metal used in high-quality jewellery and therefore exclusively on 925 silver.
