Wear the chino formally
Chino in the "bureau", that rhymes, doesn't it ? But do they go well together? As part of our series of articles on how to match your chino to the occasion, we take a look at how chino can fit into an office outfit.
With the corporate world having its own codes, it can be daring to imagine wearing the chino in such a formal context. And yet, the chino can be adapted to formal wear thanks to its versatility, comfort and ease of balancing an outfit. All depends on what piece is associated with.
Still have doubts ? Let's see how to combine a chino in a formal context !

The work environment : dress codes to comply with
Although the boundary between the professional world and personal life is becoming increasingly porous in terms of dress code, with the development of "casual Friday" in particular, many sectors still have their own dress code. This is particularly the case in law, finance or the world of politics where actors of these sectors must inspire a climate of confidence, stability and consistency. In these professions, it is difficult to break away from the eternal combo : the suit with the tie.
There is still one part of the equation that remains unsolved : the bottom. For the choice of this piece, we normally associate a suit and tie with some suit trousers for a balanced and coherent outfit. However, a chino can also be worn as long as it is not too colourful, long or wide. Navy blue, grey or beige chinos are therefore preferred so as not to destructure the outfit too much and make a formal outfit fall towards its exact opposite.

Verticality and personality
This first look is a tribute to a collar that is not oftenly highlighted : the pin collar. This pin collar usually raises the knot in your tie and is very much associated with English eccentricity.
So we opted for a pin collar shirt with stripes, which adds finesse and a touch of verticality.
To match this very elegant and refined piece, we have chosen a chino in a surprising colour : tan. Being an earthy colour, this hue allows you to enhance the top of your outfit.
In terms of footwear, we opted for a pair of brown leather derbies for a relative uniformity with the chino.

The business Meeting
Got a big day of meetings tomorrow first thing in the morning? To prepare for this intense day, you need to choose your clothes wisely to stay comfortable and cool throughout the day. To do this, we have chosen to bring the chino into a world where it is rarely associated : the suits, and ties.
For this second look, we chose a navy blue chino for its ability to be combined with almost any colour without risking a lack of taste. For the shirt, we stay on the classic but safe side with a sky blue shirt which will brighten up your outfit by adding extra luminosity to an outfit that may be lacking some.
For the tie, navy blue goes very well with olive green, so we opted for an olive green tie. As this colour symbolises peace, it may be appropriate to wear it during a business meeting.
Regarding those who are likely to suffer on this day (your feet), we went for a pair of sage green socks, to remind you of the tie, and, put on a pair of black derbies to match the rest of the outfit.
