This is why all our The Nines ties feature an interior wool interlining. This padded interfacing gives it structure and additional thickness. This interlining, a guarantee of elasticity, allows the tie to return to its original shape after being tied. It's one of the major components in tie construction, which gives it a rich and delicate "hand".

The interlining used varies according to the thickness of the fabric, so that the tie falls perfectly and to rebalance its density. Furthermore, you will find on our The Nines ties a silk lining (generally, polyester is used for linings) in a color similar to the tie or with a pattern that pairs perfectly with the tie, for more originality. This silk lining, a guarantee of quality, will give your tie better hand and better hold.

Attention to the smallest details

Always in the perpetual quest for impeccable quality for our ties, the seamstresses carry out all the stages of tie construction, up to the final point, the bartack stitch. You will find this stitch on both ends of your tie, it finalizes the 29 stages of tie construction by linking them together. This stitch is made by wrapping the thread around the needle 18 times.

Finally, you will see a loop-shaped thread located on the narrow end of your tie, this is the tension thread that allows you to re-tighten the fabric of your tie once you have worn it.

Our care advice

To maintain your tie, we recommend that you untie the tie knot when you remove it to prevent the fibers from being damaged. Then, hang it so that it doesn't wrinkle. When traveling, you can roll it up on itself.
