For this season, The Nines and Alex Cormac once again join forces to offer you chalk-stripe flannel suits, also known as "pinstripe suit". Initially popularised by City of London bankers, these stripes were a sign of respectability and distinction in the business world. The style then crossed the Atlantic to Wall Street before being championed by a few iconic figures such as Al Capone with his gangster chic look. It is the signature suit of many icons such as Serge Gainsbourg, Alain Delon and Clark Gable, and it lends seriousness, style and self-confidence.
The cuts draw inspiration from classic codes, combining structure and fluidity for a confident silhouette. Every detail, from the lapel to the trouser crease, reflects an elegant and refined style, ideal for autumn and winter.
The 270 g/m² flannel fabric, 100% virgin wool, comes from the renowned Italian mill Vitale Barberis Canonico: it will be your ally during the mid-season, providing warmth, comfort and impeccable hold. The finishes, crafted with the greatest care, bear witness to The Nines' expertise: sturdy seams and precise linings for suits that stand the test of time.
