For this season, The Nines and Alex Cormac once again join forces to offer you chalk-stripe flannel suits, also known as "pinstripe suit". Originally popularised by City of London bankers, these stripes were a sign of respectability and distinction in the business world. The style then crossed the Atlantic to Wall Street before being championed by iconic figures such as Al Capone with a gangster-chic look. It is the signature suit of many icons such as Serge Gainsbourg, Alain Delon and Clark Gable, and it confers seriousness, style and self-confidence.
The cuts draw inspiration from classic codes, combining structure and fluidity for a confident silhouette. Every detail, from the lapel to the trouser crease, reflects an elegant and refined style, ideal for autumn and winter.
The 270 g/m² flannel fabric, 100% virgin wool, comes from the renowned Italian mill Vitale Barberis Canonico: it will be your ally during the mid-season, providing warmth, comfort and impeccable hold. The finishes, crafted with the utmost care, reflect The Nines' expertise: strong seams and precise linings for suits that stand the test of time.
