Did you know that a cashmere goat produces an average of 150 grams per year from this soft and fine fibre? Cashmere comes from the undercoat of the goat of the same name, or more precisely from the down of the long, soft hairs with which they survive the cold winter. In spring the goat is shorn or combed and its fibres, which have been popular in Europe since the beginning of the 19th century, are then processed, bleached, dyed, woven, washed and finally assembled into final clothing or accessories.
Made in Italy, this pair of red socks consists of 30% cashmere and 50% viscose. Viscose is a synthetic fibre made from wood cellulose from sustainable forestry (FSC certified). Viscose, known as "vegetable silk", is very resistant, soft and pleasant to wear on the skin. This is such a beautiful pair!
