When nature and innovation go hand in hand
The elegance of deerskin leather and the practicality of touchscreen technology
If you like elegant, well-crafted, and sophisticated gloves, you've probably encountered some problems when trying to answer your smartphone or find your way on maps. And for good reason, winter has its drawbacks: it's impossible to use your cell phone or GPS with leather gloves. And when you finally found a touchscreen glove - which only works one out of two times - its style, a bit too basic or too sporty, quickly cooled you off.
Our touchscreen gloves with external stitching and cashmere lining enhance your outfits down to your fingertips. And that's literally true, as they feature touchscreen technology on their extremities. While this doesn't make them as precise as your fingers, they won't suffer from the cold during your winter walks, your visit to the Christmas market, or when you're playing Candy Crush while waiting for your bus in the cold.
Certified and patented technology in Italy
Improved touchscreen treatment compared to the 1st generation
Italy has a solid reputation for craftsmanship and leather work. It was near Naples that our master glove-maker shared a small revolution: leather with touchscreen properties. This unique and innovative process allows for the creation of a robust, flexible leather glove perfectly adapted to everyday needs. For this, the deerskin was treated before the dyeing stage. Thus, the touchscreen treatment penetrates deeper into the leather and remains fixed.
This leather with touchscreen capabilities is certified by the Italian leather research institute Stazione Sperimentale per l'Industria delle Pelli e delle Materie Concianti (SSIP). This organization thus guarantees the assurance of quality leather that doesn't scratch your devices. It meticulously controls all stages of leather processing, in accordance with very specific design and quality standards.
A rare, durable, and supple leather
Deerskin leather
In glove-making, cowhide, calfskin, or even lambskin - finer than the previous two - are mainly used to make a pair of dress gloves. A still relatively unknown leather is deerskin! Due to its limited quantity, it is almost exclusively worked by luxury houses - and, for several years now, also by us!
Deerskin leather is very durable, yet it's one of the most supple, making it ideal for glove manufacturing: it offers great freedom of movement and shows few creases. Its natural grain and matte color give deerskin leather a beautiful appearance that persists over time.
From the king of the forest to the king of leather
Full-grain leather
An animal skin becomes leather after the tanning stage. Basically, the perishable product, the skin, is transformed through a vegetable or mineral process into a non-perishable product, that is, leather. The leather can then be cut into three layers according to its final use.
The lower layer, on the flesh side, is the split leather. Easier to maintain and less expensive, it is generally used for upholstery or low-end items. The outer part of the animal's epidermis, where the hair is implanted, is called the grain. It can be corrected or retain its natural and unique beauty. This is known as full-grain leather. Dense and durable, it's also the softest leather and our choice for all our leather gloves.
A cocoon of softness
Cashmere lining
In glove-making, the lining provides additional comfort and warmth to your hands to face the cold winter well. And exceptional leather calls for exceptional wool! From there, choosing cashmere is just a step away... or rather 11,673,501 steps, since the main country producing this prized wool is China.
Obtained from goats of the same name, cashmere is characterized by exceptional softness. Thermoregulating, cashmere keeps you warm while wicking away moisture. And unlike other wools, cashmere doesn't itch! It's therefore the ideal material for the most sensitive skin.
Traditional and artisanal Neapolitan craftsmanship
10 manufacturing steps in 2 hours per pair
Italy is a special country, and not just because of its boot shape. Much more than in France, craftsmanship is still very present there. This is what makes the reputation of Made in Italy, especially in fashion. The secret behind the preservation of Italian craftsmanship is certainly regional specialization and the generational transmission of traditional know-how.
Thus, it all happens in small family workshops: the wool is knitted in Biella and the leather is worked in Naples. The maestri of our Neapolitan glove-making have been crafting leather for several decades and 4 generations already. Everything is done by hand: from choosing the leather to stretching, cutting, and adding the lining. The process includes about ten steps and no less than 2 hours of work to make a single pair of gloves!
Details that make the difference
Touchscreen gloves are no exception to the rule of our other leather gloves in terms of attention to detail, whether visual or comfort-related:
- Three top-stitched nerves on the back of the hand
- Double elastic wrists with colored edging
- A colored cashmere lining in harmonious contrast with the leather shade
Tailored to fit like a glove
Traditionally made, our touchscreen gloves benefit from all the advantages that leather brings - durability, flexibility, comfort - coupled with a high-performance and innovative coating that allows you to use your touchscreen devices without having to remove your gloves.
Leather is a natural material that stretches slightly over time to perfectly fit your hand. Thus, the shape of the gloves will conform to that of your hands for unparalleled comfort and freedom of movement.
We offer 6 glove sizes ranging from 7.5 to 10. To find your size and learn how to take your measurements correctly, consult the glove size guide.
