Lambskin leather
Just as certain fabrics are better suited to certain garments in terms of use or style, in leathergoods, some leathers are reserved for, or at least favored for, the making of gloves. A glove must be supple, to allow enough freedom of movement, and keep you warm — obviously, you wear them when it is cold.
The leather that best meets these needs is lambskin: it is one of the most supple hides, with a very fine grain, making it ideal for dress leather gloves. And to add a layer — literally — the lambskin of our gloves has a nappa finish. This is a protective surface treatment to make the hides more durable.
The noblest part of the leather
Full-grain leather
When an animal hide is transformed into leather — that is, after the tanning stage — three layers of leather are distinguished: full grain, corrected grain, and split leather.
Full-grain leather refers to the outer layer of the animal's epidermis, where the hair is rooted. This is where the highest density of fibers is found, giving it its strength. Characterized by an incredible softness, this part of the leather is undeniably the most noble and our first choice for the making of our leather accessories.

How could one not pair the most supple leather with the softest wool? Exactly! That is why our lambskin leather gloves have a 100% cashmere lining. To obtain these prized fibers, one must not only travel to the other side of the world, to China, but also wait for winter. It is only under very particular climatic conditions, reaching as low as -40°C!, that the cashmere goat doubles its summer coat with "the guard hair". These long hairs protect the precious underdown so that it remains intact until the spring shearing.
To protect your hands from the cold, there is no need to travel all the way to China or wait for winter! Moreover, as a natural material, cashmere is hypoallergenic and thus gentle on even the most sensitive skin.

Traditional Italian craftsmanship
100 years of expertise and 2 hours of work per glove
The secret and strength of Made in Italy is partly due to the country's regional specialization. Thus, wool is knitted in the city of Biella in the north and leather is crafted in Naples, in the south of the country. Our glove maker has been working with leather there for several decades and 4 generations. And that is the second reason behind the quality of Made in Italy: the transmission of traditional and artisanal know-how.
Artisanal — that is the key word when it comes to making leather gloves: at least 2 hours of manual work are required for each pair of gloves! Understandably so, when you consider that there are no fewer than 10 manufacturing steps and that everything is done by hand.
