When natural and innovation go hand in hand

The elegance of a leather glove with full touchscreen technology

If you prefer elegant gloves in winter, you've certainly encountered one or two problems when trying to answer a call on your smartphone or looking for your way on Google Maps. In fact, the icy winter doesn't quite suit our modern electronic devices: With leather gloves you can't use your mobile phone or GPS. And if you have tried a touchscreen glove - which only works every other time - the somewhat simple or sporty style has surely been frustrating when trying to dress elegantly.

Our leather gloves feature innovative full touchscreen technology. This means you can not only use your index finger or thumb on your touchscreen devices, but your entire palm! So you won't get frostbite when you go for a walk in winter, visit the Christmas markets or try to beat your record on Candy Crush while waiting for the bus.

To put it in a sentence, these gloves are your new high-performance gadget in an elegant and cosy package!

Certified and patented technology in Italy

An improved touchscreen coating vs. the 1st generation

Italy has a solid reputation in leather savoir-faire. On one of our last business trips to Naples, our glove maker presented us with a revolutionary product: high quality leather with full touchscreen properties. Thanks to a unique and innovative process, it is possible to make leather gloves which not only has touchscreen capacity on a small surface but on the entire palm and the inside of the fingers.

Based on your feedback, we have improved the touchscreen faculties of the 2nd generation gloves. For that, the deer leather has been treated with the technical coating before dyeing. This way, the treatment penetrates deeper into the leather and stays.

Certified and patented by the Italian Leather Research Institute Stazione Sperimentale per l'Industria delle Pelli e delle Materie Concianti (SSIP), the institute guarantees the quality of the leather, which does not scratch your devices. They meticulously control all the stages of the leather processing in compliance with specific design and quality standards.

A rare, strong and supple leather

Deer leather

In glove-making, most of the leather used is either from cow, calf or, the finer grain choice, lamb. A leather still relatively unknown is deer leather! Because of its limited availability, it is almost exclusively used by brands of the haute couture - and, for some years now, also by us!

Deer leather is very hard-wearing, yet it is one of the supplest leathers, which makes it ideal for glove-making: it offers great freedom of movement and is pretty crease-resistant. Its natural grain and matt colour give deer leather a beautiful appearance that persists over time.

From king of the forest to king of leather

Full grain leather

An animal hide becomes leather after the tanning stage. Basically, the perishable product, the hide, is transformed by a vegetable or mineral process into a non-perishable product, i.e. leather. The leather can then be split into three layers depending on its final use.

The bottom layer, on the flesh side, is called the split leather. Easier to maintain and less expensive, it is usually used for upholstery in furniture or low-end items. The outer part of the animal skin, where the hair is implanted, is called the top grain. It can be corrected or retain its natural and unique beauty, becoming the so-called full grain leather. Dense and resistant, it is also the softest leather and our choice for all our leather gloves.

A soft cocoon

Cashmere lining

In glove-making, the lining brings extra comfort and warmth to your hands to face the winter cold. And exceptional leather requires exceptional wool! From there, the choice of cashmere is only one step... or rather 11,673,501 steps, since most of this prized wool is produced in China.

Obtained from the goats of the same name, cashmere is characterised by its extraordinary softness. Cashmere is thermoregulating, keeping you warm while wicking away moisture. And unlike other wools, cashmere does not itch! It is, therefore, the ideal material for the most sensitive skins.

touchscreen gloves made in italy

A traditional, Neapolitan manufacture

10 stages of production in 2 hours per pair

Italy is a special country, and not just for its boot-like shape. Much more than in France, craftsmanship is still very present. This is what makes the label Made in Italy so famous, especially in fashion. The secret behind the preservation of Italian craftsmanship is certainly due to the regional specialisation and the generational transmission of traditional know-how.

Thus, it is in small family-run ateliers of northern Italy that wool is knitted and leather is worked in Naples, the south of the country. The maestri of our Neapolitan glove factory have been working with leather for several decades and 4 generations already. Everything is done by hand: from the choice of leather, to the stretching and cutting, to the adding of lining. The process includes about ten steps and no less than 2 hours of work to make a single pair of gloves!

Small details that make a big difference

The touchscreen gloves are no exception to the rule of our other leather gloves when it comes to attention to detail, whether it be visual or comfort-related:

- Three stitched ribs on the back of the hand

- Double elasticated cuffs with coloured piping

- Coloured cashmere lining in harmonious contrast with the leather shade

Fitted like a glove

Our full touchscreen leather gloves offer all the benefits of classic leather gloves - elegance, durability, comfort - combined with an innovative high-performance technology that allows you to use your touchscreen devices without having to take off your gloves.

Leather is a natural material that adapts to you and your individual measurements over time. This means the shape of the gloves adapts to the shape of your hands for unrivalled comfort and freedom of movement.

We offer 7 different gloves sizes from 6.5 to 9.5. To find your perfect size and learn how to take your measurements, please consult our glove size guide.
