Le col à pointes se caractérise par des pans plus longs et plus rapprochés que ceux d'un col classique. Très présent dans le vestiaire masculin du XXe siècle, il apporte une élégance discrète et allonge visuellement le visage.
Le col italien possède des pointes plus écartées, ce qui lui donne une allure plus ouverte et contemporaine. Le col français, plus resserré, reste un grand classique du vestiaire masculin et s'adapte facilement à la plupart des morphologies.
Le col anglais se distingue par une patte discrète reliant les deux pans du col sous le nœud de cravate. Ce détail permet de rehausser légèrement la cravate et apporte une touche d'élégance, inspirée du tailoring britannique et du look “preppy”.
Pour une tenue habillée, nous recommandons généralement un col français ou un col italien. Le choix dépend ensuite de l'effet recherché : plus classique avec un col français, plus affirmé avec un col italien.
Le choix du col dépend avant tout de l'usage que vous ferez de votre chemise. Un col français convient à la plupart des situations, tandis qu'un col italien apporte davantage de présence. Pour une tenue très formelle, certains préféreront un col anglais, alors qu'un col boutonné s'intègre naturellement à un vestiaire plus décontracté.
